 If you have the space available, it would be more efficient to plan a system that can accommodate archiving and storage over a long period of time rather than installing a system that only provides for your current load.

There are a number of different storage systems that can be installed. This can also be dependable on the capacity of your build.

Here are just a few for you to consider when looking around for what system would suit your requirements.

Single or multi-level systems

If you have a small office, then you may only require a few racks of shelving to enable you to store the information that requires archiving.

Multi-level systems may be suitable if you are limited on space but need more than just one rack. A multi-level racking system will enable you to store more information as well as not using up too much space.

High-rise order picker systems

Order picker systems are great for warehouse storage that requires goods to be found in an orderly fashion. This not only provides a large amount of space for you to keep your products, but also saves alot of time when orders need to be dispatched.

How the racking is installed would mainly depend on each individual requirement.

Open shelve filing

If you have a large amount of documents that need to be easily accessed on a regular basis as well as being well organised, an open shelf filing system could be the best option to suit your requirements.

Open shelve filing enables all of your documents to be stored so that when someone comes along and requires a document, they can easily find the information they require. This saves alot of time hunting around for a single document.

When you are considering which type of system you require, there are many different types of racking and shelving options available. If you require a system to suit a warehouse, hunt around for a company that not only provides the product, but also who can provide and install a system that will suit your type of build and use up the space available to the best of its capacity.

Also ensure you consider whether the amount of storage will grow overtime and install a system that can accommodate growth on the long term if you think this may be applicable.

Many storage systems are bespoke as not all buildings are the same. You may require a system which suits more than one level or you may require more than one type of system depending solely on what needs to be stored.

When considering a company to provide you with their product, ensure they supply and install systems to suit multiple requirements. This will save you time and money in the long run if you require more than one type of system.
